(1931) was born in São Paolo. Poet, translator, music critic and visual artist, de Campos was – together with his brother Haroldo de Campos – the founder of the Concrete Poetry movement in Brazil.

The Board of the Janus Pannonius Poetry Grand Prize is proud to announce that our 2015 laureate Charles Bernstein has been awarded the most prestigious American poetry prize, the Bollingen Prize. The Bollingen Prize is awarded biennially by Yale University to an American poet for the best book published during the previous two years, in Bernstein’s case for the 2018 poetry volume, Near/Miss, and goes with a cash award of $165,000.
